Terms and Conditions — robinsons-podbot

These terms govern use of robinsons-podbot, a Reddit Devvit app operated by the moderators of r/robinsons_podcast. Installing or using the app means you accept them. See also the app's Privacy Policy.

What the app does

The app checks Apple's public podcast catalogue on a schedule and, when a new episode of Robinson's Podcast appears, submits it to the installing subreddit as a link post, then stickies and distinguishes that post and unstickies the previous one. It posts from its own app account, u/robinsons-podbot. Moderators control the podcast it follows, the sticky slot, optional post flair, and a dry-run mode that logs intended posts without submitting them.

Eligibility and authority

Install the app only on a subreddit you moderate and with the agreement of that moderation team. Use of the app is also subject to Reddit's User Agreement and the Devvit Rules.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, Reddit's rules, or a community's rules, and do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it.

Moderator responsibility

The app posts automatically on the schedule you configure. Moderators are responsible for what appears in their subreddit and can edit or remove any post, turn on dry-run mode, or uninstall the app at any time.

Third-party services

The app depends on Reddit's Devvit platform and reads Apple's public podcast Lookup API. Each is governed by its own terms. The app is unofficial and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Reddit, Apple, Spotify, or Robinson's Podcast.

Availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties to the extent the law permits. Posts may be delayed, duplicated, missed, or stop entirely during outages of Reddit, Devvit, or Apple's catalogue, or if a requested fetch domain is withdrawn. The operator may change, pause, or discontinue the app at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Liability that cannot legally be limited is unaffected.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means acceptance of it.
