Privacy Policy — robinsons-podbot

Effective and last updated: October 18, 2026

robinsons-podbot is a Reddit Devvit app operated by the moderators of r/robinsons_podcast. In short: it collects nothing about anyone. It reads a public podcast catalogue, posts new episodes to the subreddit it is installed on, and remembers which episodes it has already posted. See also the app's Terms and Conditions.

What the app processes

What the app stores

Operational state only, in Devvit's per-install Redis storage:

Storage is separate for each subreddit install. After uninstall, retention of that storage is governed by Reddit's own data practices, which the operator does not control.

What the app does not collect

No personal data. The app does not read, store, or transmit usernames, user profiles, comments, votes, messages, IP addresses, device information, or analytics, and it holds no data about visitors to the subreddit. It has no user interface that accepts input, and it never sends anything about Reddit or its users to an outside service.

Outbound requests

The app makes one kind of outbound request: an unauthenticated GET to itunes.apple.com for the podcast's episode list, roughly every 20 minutes. The request contains only the public podcast id. No Reddit data, subreddit data, or user data is included, and no other domain is contacted. Apple's handling of such requests is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Children's privacy

The app is for subreddit moderators and is not directed at children. Reddit's own minimum age requirement applies.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes; the date above reflects the latest revision.
